Free Chick-fil-A sandwich during June! (Updated)

A very timely deal for PDX locals, given the recent re-entry of Chick-fil-A into our market. Read on for details ...

So great to have Chick-fil-A in Portland again!

This deal is pretty quick and straightforward. Starting tomorrow (June 1st), download or use (if you already have - maybe make sure you're updated to the latest version) the Chick-fil-A app on your smartphone and create a free account (if you don't already have one). Must sign up for the account, or somehow use your existing account via the app (we'll see exactly how tomorrow), by June 11th to claim your free sandwich.

That's it! You get a free sandwich that can be used anytime in June, between the hours of 10:30am to 10pm.

Update (6/1): Here (below) is what the free sandwich choice looks like in the app. I already had a Chick-fil-a account, so I can confirm that this works whether you sign into the app with an existing or new account.

NOTES: It appears that the app also incorporates online ordering and a rewards program. The online ordering could be pretty nice, as it claims that you can "skip the line" at the restaurant when you pick up food ordered via the app. Of course, you still have to deal with getting into the crowded parking lots (at the new PDX locations anyway). There doesn't seem to be any specific details on how the rewards program works, in terms of how much you need to buy to earn free "treats" - but you'll see a little circular tracking icon in the app that shows graphically how close you are to your next reward. Finally, the app also allows you to load your gift cards (so that you don't have to carry them in your wallet). Now we just need to find a deal to procure some discounted gift cards ... :)
