I've long been a fan of "renting" unlimited music, versus paying "by the song (or album)" on iTunes. Read more ...
HERE is a deal from Google Play Music for a FREE 3-month trial. Just be sure to cancel before the 90-day mark, if you want to avoid being charged $10/month.
Of course, a lot of people are happy getting their free music from a service like Pandora, but services like Google Play or Spotify or Rhapsody are nice, because you can pick whatever exact song or album you want, create playlists, and even download unlimited music (as long as you remain a subscriber) to listen even when you are not online.
I have long been a fan of Rhapsody, which as a $10/month (and I think $100/year) plan that allows you to share the subscription on up to 3 devices. But this Google Play Music looks very promising (possibly a better song selection? as I sometimes run into music on Rhapsody that is not available). Google allows sharing a subscription on up to 10 devices, but claims that 2 of the devices cannot be using it at the same time.
Great time of the year to try it out with Christmas music! (but please don't start listening to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving!!)
