I first saw this deal HERE at the Deals We Like blog. It has also been covered well by Frequent Miler HERE.
For those not familiar, IHG is a hotel group that manages brands including Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels.
As you will read in the links above, this "deal" requires some effort (lots of hand-written and mailed entries) and will cost you about $50 (in stamps & supplies). But if you have some extra time on your hands (and/or cheap labor = kids!), it's a fairly easy was to get $200+ in hotel stays (potentially a lot more if you get lucky in the sweepstakes).
As with all deals like this, things can go wrong. There's a chance this won't work (or work as well as expected). But based upon the feedback that Deals We Like got from IHG, it sounds pretty legit and promising.
Don't forget to REGISTER FOR THE PROMOTION before you send in your entries. If you don't have an IHG rewards account already, it is quick/easy/free to sign up for one. You can also read the full terms & conditions of the promotion on the website (although I noticed that the link to the T&C is currently not working for me).
